Yesterday I booked an Ola cab, using digital money of course, to head back home from office. When we reached Mulund toll, there was a huge queue of vehicles. We had following conversation there-
Cab Driver- Sir, Toll chalu ho gaya lagta hai
Me- Nahi bhai, abhi to sare Tolls suspended hain
Driver- Sir, chalu hai nahi to itna lamba line nahi hota.
Me- Ho sakta hai
Driver- Mere ko ek help karega
Driver- Mere pass toll ke liye cash nahi hai. Aaj 7 trip mara. Sabne online pay kar diya. Aap mujhe Rs.50 de do. Main aapko Paytm kar deta hoon.
*By this time we had reached Toll gate and noticed Toll was not getting collected*
Driver- Rahne do sir. Toll nahi lag raha.
Me- Apke pass cash nahi hai. Main aapko Rs.200 deta hoon. Aage kaam aayega. Aap mujhe transfer kar do.
Driver- Thank you, sir. Jarurat to aapko bhi hogi. Aap Rs.50 hi kar do emergency ke liye.
*I insisted on Rs.200. He politely refused. I gave him Rs.50. He called his friend and asked to transfer Rs.50 on my number. In next 15 minutes, he talked about how hopeful he is with this move of government. Then he dropped me and thanked me again. We both left with a hope of better country in times to come.*
