Hot Kanda Poha in Cold Season

Poha – 2 cups
1 boiled potato
1 onion (kanda)
100 gram green peace (or few peanuts)
Green chilies – 4-5
1 tea spoon mustard seed (rai)
1/2 tea spoon coriander seeds
1/2 tea spoon saunf
8-10 curry leaves
1-2 tea spoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 lemon
2 table spoon oil

For Garnishing:-
Chopped coriander leaves
1 medium onion chopped
Barik sev


In a large bowl soak poha in sufficient amount after draining two three times, so that poha become soft.

Now chop onion, mash potato and chop green chilies.

Now switch on the flame and put kadai on it.

Add oil then add mustard seeds, onion, green peas, green chilies, curry leaves.

Mix it well now add coriander seeds and saunf, again mix now add turmeric powder and pinch of salt in it.

Mix well and on the low heat cook this for 2-3 minutes.

Now add poha in it and salt to taste.

Cook it for another 7-8 min.

Before serving add half lemon juice and coriander leaves, pomegranate, onion and barik sev on the top.

Now serve it hot in cold season.
